It Finally Snowed today! Waking up to GIANT flakes of beautiful fluffy snow is the best part about winter to me. That and the beautiful paper someone gave me inspired this page. I really am enjoying using Gouache on these last few pages it gives such an interesting texture when you wash it with water and pull up some of the pigment with some other surface. Makes a nice surface to write on as well. Hope you all woke up to fluffy now today! Back to work tomorrow sadly my break is over wish me luck!

#7 “PIE”

So I sat down tonight to work on this piece with the idea that I was going to focus it on a giant piece of pie that I was going to cut out of various papers and assemble. The creative gods were not kind because in the first 5 min I abandoned this and really needed to use the jar visuals. I guess I’m happy with this piece but it’s a bit busy tomorrow the mantra will be simplify!!

This is my first attempt at a black out poem. I got so excited about it I blacked out one of my words but that’s ok. This was so much fun I’m definitly going to do some more just a bit more carefully!
